Statement of Faith |
| |
| |
1. |
We believe in the divine inspiration of both the Old and New Testament: that they are inerrant and the final authority for faith and life. |
| |
| |
2. |
We believe in one God, eternally existing in the three persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. |
| |
| |
3. |
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary being true God and man. |
| |
| |
4. |
We believe that man was created in the image of God on the sixth day of creation; that he sinned and incurred physical and spiritual death; and that mankind is born with a nature to sin in thought, word and deed. |
| |
| |
5. |
We believe that Jesus Christ was crucified according to the Scriptures as a substitutionary sacrifice to pay for the sins of mankind. |
| |
| |
6. |
We believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ after crucifixion, His ascension into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father to make intercession for us. |
| |
| |
7. |
We believe that those who receive His sacrifice by faith are born again by the Holy Spirit to beome children of God and disciples of Jesus Christ. |
| |
| |
8. |
We believe in the water baptism of believers by immersion as a sign of faith and obedience to Christ. |
| |
| |
9. |
We believe in the empowerment of disciples through the infilling of the Holy Sprit to be His witnesses. |
| |
| |
10. |
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit who gives revelation, wisdom, healing, miracles and tongues. |
| |
| |
11. |
We believe in the five fold ministry gifts of Jesus Christ to the Church that are to equip the Church to serve. |
| |
| |
12. |
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust at the imminent premillennial return of Jesus Christ; the reserrection of the righteous to everlasting joy and the wicked to everlasting punishment. |
